video report here... warning, the crash scene is pretty gruesome
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
A horrific crash shut down a busy street Monday and it appears street racing may be to blame.
According to police, witnesses told them a Nissan Sentra was racing a 1964 or 1965 Chevrolet pickup truck. When the Nissan either lost control or was pushed against oncoming traffic, it hit a Ford F350 pickup truck. The truck landed on top of the Nissan.
The 19-year-old driver of the Nissan, Xavier Robles was killed when his car collided with the Ford pickup that rode up on the passenger compartment of the car.
A father and his daughter were inside the Ford. They had seat belts on and their injuries are non-life threatening.
Sgt. Trent Crump says they are looking for a Chevrolet pickup truck that fled the scene. It was heading southbound on 16th Street through Southern Avenue.
The speed limit posted in the area is 40 miles per hour and police believe the racers' speeds were twice the limit.

The innocent father and daughter are fortunate they were in a big bubba pickup. Had it been me in my Golf, the outcome would have been much different,

Maybe his parents can use Rodas lawyer and sue Nissan?
